Moorside High School Parent Council

Calling ALL Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Carers

You’ve heard of ‘Every Child Matters’ well now ‘Every Parent / Carer Matters’ too!

Did you know that part of the recent changes to school education, every school now has a Parent Council to improve communications between school and parents and break down barriers?

The Parent’s Council is here to:

1      Work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents and carers

2      Identify and represent the views of parents and carers on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils.

3      Provide the school with a sounding board for ideas of improvements and changes they want to implement.

We want to be representative of the whole school and in order to do this we need your support.

You can contact the Parent Council:-

1.    By dropping us a note at the school office – just label it “Parent’s Council”.

2.   By emailing your message to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
